Why Choose St. Peter Kindergarten?
When you're selecting a kindergarten, you want to know your child is in the right hands. Here's what sets St. Peter apart:
Small Class Sizes
We cap our kindergarten classes at 20 students maximum. This means your child gets the attention, mentoring, and individualized instruction that research shows makes a real difference in early learning.
Experienced, Qualified Teacher Leadership
Your kindergarten lead teacher, Karla Balduc, holds a Master's degree in education with a specialization in reading and brings 25+ years of classroom experience. She currently teaches our Pre-K 4 program and understands the developmental needs of young learners.
Brand New, State-of-the-Art Facility
Our new building features eight oversized classrooms (900 square feet each), a full gymnasium, and a commercial kitchen. Every space is designed with your child's learning and safety in mind. We're targeting completion in July 2026.
Christ-Centered Education
At St. Peter, we develop the whole child through our "Scholars, Servants, Saints" approach. Students grow academically, develop servant hearts through meaningful service, and deepen their faith through daily spiritual formation. This isn't just education—it's discipleship.

Kindergarten Readiness: What We Look For
Does Your Child Have These Kindergarten Skills?
We're looking for developmental readiness, not perfection. Children entering kindergarten at St. Peter should ideally demonstrate:
- ✓ Ability to follow simple directions
- ✓ Ease separating from parents during the school day
- ✓ Recognition of some letters and numbers
- ✓ Independent bathroom use
- ✓ Ability to write or attempt their name
- ✓ Ability to count to 10
- ✓ Ability to listen to stories and speak in sentences
- ✓ Use of scissors and ability to hold a pencil or crayon appropriately
- ✓ Ability to play and interact appropriately with peers
If your child is close on some of these skills, that's completely normal. We work with each child to build confidence and competence.
