Choosing a private school is one of the biggest decisions you'll make for your child. You want to know that your investment leads to something meaningfully different from what's available for free down the road. Here's what sets St. Peter apart.

Small Class Sizes, Real Attention

At St. Peter, your child isn't one of thirty. Our classes are intentionally kept small so that teachers can know every student by name, adapt instruction to individual strengths and needs, and catch the moments where a child needs encouragement or a new challenge. Small class sizes aren't a marketing line for us; they're the foundation of how we teach.

Proven, TEKS-Aligned Curriculum

Our academic program is built on recognized, research-backed curriculum:

  • HMH and IXL for language arts and reading
  • Amplify Math for mathematics
  • Nancy Larson for science
  • Enduring Faith for spiritual formation.

Every subject is aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and delivered through hands-on, developmentally appropriate instruction. Faith isn't an add-on at the end of the day. It's integrated into the academic experience as one of six core subject areas. For a detailed look at what this means in the classroom, visit our Kindergarten page.

Experienced, Qualified Teachers

The quality of a school comes down to the people in the classroom. Our lead teachers are state-certified, hold college degrees, and bring real experience to their work. Our kindergarten teacher, Karla Balduc, holds a Master's degree in education with a specialization in reading and more than 25 years of classroom experience. Every staff member completes background checks, CPR and first aid certification, and ongoing professional development. Meet our faculty.

A Brand-New, Purpose-Built Facility

Our new 22,000 square foot building was designed specifically for K-5 education. It features eight oversized classrooms (900 square feet each), a full gymnasium, and a commercial kitchen. Every space was planned with young learners in mind, from bright, engaging classrooms to safe, secure campus design. This isn't a repurposed building or a temporary setup. It was built for exactly what we're doing.

Dual Accreditation

St. Peter holds both national and state accreditation through NLSA and LSAC, recognized by the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission (TEPSAC). We're also a Herzog Foundation sponsored school. In a market where new Christian schools are opening regularly, accreditation is the clearest signal that a program meets verified standards for academic quality, faculty qualifications, and operational integrity. It's the difference between a school with a plan and a school with proof.

Affordable Through Texas Education Freedom Accounts

St. Peter accepts Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFAs), worth up to $10,474 per student annually. For many families, this covers the majority of tuition, making private Christian education genuinely accessible rather than aspirational. We actively support families through the TEFA application process and are listed on the official participating school finder. Visit our Tuition & Financial Aid page for full cost details.

A School That Grows with Your Family

Whether your child starts in our preschool at age 2 or joins us for kindergarten in fall 2026, St. Peter offers a continuous path through 5th grade. We're adding one grade each year, which means the families who join now are the founding class. That's not just a label: it means smaller cohorts, deeper relationships, and the chance to shape a school from the ground up alongside the teachers and families who are building it with you.
